Mezzo-soprano Michelle Mariposa, a 2023 Sullivan Award winner and a resident artist at Chicago Opera Theater, joins pianist Yasuko Oura and cellist Nick Photinos for a concert titled “Far from Home.” Longing for it, leaving it, or not even feeling at home: we all have complex relationships with the places we live. “Far from Home” features mezzo-soprano Michelle Mariposa in works spanning the globe from Germany (Schumann, Schubert), Russia (Borodin) to newer works from the Philippines (Buenaventura, Abdom) and Iran (Nourbakhsh). Online tickets available as well as tickets in person at the door before the concert.
